I’m excited to introduce Verrutop, a new treatment option now available at Frank’s Footcare for patients struggling with persistent verrucae (plantar warts).
As a Foot Health Practitioner, I regularly see how frustrating verrucae can be. They can be uncomfortable, affect confidence, and sometimes become something people feel they have to hide. Verrucae can be particularly challenging for people who enjoy activities such as swimming, running, or going barefoot, where they may feel self-conscious about their appearance.
Verrutop is a professional treatment designed to target verrucae and common warts. It uses an advanced formula called Nitrizinc Complex®, which works by gently dehydrating the verruca tissue, allowing the affected area to gradually separate as healthy skin regenerates underneath.
Unlike some traditional treatments, such as cryotherapy (freezing), Verrutop does not require specialist equipment and is a quick, targeted treatment that is generally well tolerated. It can be particularly helpful for stubborn verrucae that have not cleared with previous treatments.
A Patient Success Story
One of my recent patients had been living with a verruca for many years. She is a keen marathon runner and swimmer, but the verruca had started to affect both her comfort and confidence. She found it uncomfortable when running and would cover it when swimming because she felt self-conscious about how it looked.
The verruca was present across three different areas of her foot, forming multiple clusters. After four Verrutop treatments, two areas had successfully cleared, leaving just one remaining cluster. Following a further two treatments, the final cluster cleared completely.
I am delighted to share that she is now verruca-free and able to enjoy her running, swimming, and everyday activities without the worry or discomfort the verruca had caused.
